Monthly Archives: April 2007

After much thought and consideration, I have decided to become a PartyLite consultant.  I hosted my startoff party last Sunday and had great sales with some outside sales as well.  I have booked some parties and have two possible new recruits.  I am pretty excited about this new venture.

Spindle SocksOn a knitting note, I finished my Spindle Socks yesterday.  They are from My Fashionable Life website. Knit in Diakeito which is 70% Wool, 30% Alpaca.  I used US #4 needles.

You have to forgive my picture taking abilities.  I have no idea why this turned out so blurry.

So, my friend Sue & I have decided to join the Eunny Jang Entrelac Knit A Long.  (I am such a joiner, aren’t I?!)  I will keep you posted as to my progress.  This pattern is in the Spring 2007 issue of Interweave Knits.

Easter . . . and a snow/rain mix!

The week has gone by rather fast and it is already the Holiday weekend…..and it is raining and snowing and freezing up outside.  The temperature, I think, was warmer when I came to work this morning than it is now.  So much for going out and playing in the nice weather this weekend.

So, I guess I will just have to stay instead, clean my apartment, and knit.  (Imagine that!)

Here is some mindless fun: Try the American Accent quiz.  I am from “The West”….well what do you know?!  I did grow up in Kansas after all.

Even though I was out knitted in Round #2 of Sock Madness, I have still been following along and cheering everybody on while working on my own socks.  Today I am wearing my Mad-tinis.   I have just turned the heal on a pair of a pair of Spindle Socks and I should have them done by the end of the weekend.  I will post a picture of them when I do.
